If you haven’t seen it yet, then be sure to take a drive downtown because Depot Square is getting a new addition. After much planning and coordination, a new mural is in the process of being painted on the south wall of the cannery building facing The Kitchen Table (previously Vinegar Jim’s).
The goal of the mural is to tell a story about Arlington, while also connecting The Crossing at Depot Square to the original Depot Square. Davey Studios is painting the mural and the installation should take between 3-6 weeks to finish, depending on the weather. Work on the mural is coming along and our Chamber of Commerce is posting updates on their Facebook page, so you can follow the progress there.
To compliment it, a second, smaller mural is also planned on the north side of the barber shop building facing the Senior Center. This one is intended to be more of a Welcome to Arlington and photo opportunity.
