Property Tax

The Town of Arlington Property Tax Rate is currently $1.28 per $100 of Assessed Value (this is in addition to Shelby County property taxes).

The 'Assessed Value' is a percentage of the appraised value. The percentage used is based on the property's classification: Residential (25%), Commercial (40%), Industrial (40%), and Farm(25%). For example - a residential home appraised at $500,000 would have an Assessed Value of $125,000 (or 25%).

Arlington works with the Shelby County Trustee's Office, who is responsible for billing and collecting all of Arlington Property Taxes, both Commercial and Residential.
